The tickets are electronic and have barcodes. Please print your e-ticket and bring it with you to enter the teachings hall.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will give teachings primarily in Tibetan. The teachings will be translated into Latvian, Russian, English, German, and Monglian. The translations will be broadcast in the FM range.

You may use your mobile phone with built in FM radio or a portable FM radio set to listen to the translation. Please, make sure your phone is fully charged, and you have enough spare batteries for your radio set. Please bring the corresponding earphones.

 

Monks and nuns

We offer free admission to the teachings of H.H. the Dalai Lama to monks and nuns. Please fill up the form

Your applications should reach us before June 1st.

 

Children

We kindly ask you not to bring your children under the age of six into the hall. If your children attend the sessions, you need to purchase an admission ticket for them. The children should be able to sit quietly for a two hour talk as well as show an interest in being there.

 

Wheelchair users

Wheelchair users and those accompanying them, please do not book your tickets online, rather send a mail to: dalailama.riga@gmail.com to receive your admission ticket and other pertinent information.

 

Security

To ensure a harmonious sequence of events and a safe one for all participants, please adhere to the following guidelines:

The teachings will begin at 8.30 am on June 16–18. The doors of Skonto Hall will open at 7.30 am. Please consider arriving at least one hour before the event to allow you to go through the security checks before entry. Please promptly take your seat since H.H. the Dalai Lama usually starts on time and sometimes arrives well in advance.

For safety reasons you are requested not to carry large bags, strollers and other bulky items into the venue. Weapons, knives, tools, aerosols, paint, marking pens, flags, scissors and sharp objects are not permitted.

Seats are numbered and volunteers will assist you in finding them.

Please switch off your mobiles in the hall (or switch to flight mode if you use the FM radio function of your mobile for the translation).

Photos can only be taken from your seat; please avoid using flash and be considerate оf those seated next to you by taking only a few photos.

Pets are not allowed except for guide dogs for the blind.
